Overview

Moon after the giant impact

For the next two years, Nicole Xike Nie will be working with Anat Shahar on using Rb isotopes to study the causes for volatile element depletion in planetary bodies. Her research interests include isotope geochemistry and cosmochemistry.  Nie's other interests include early solar system evolution, planetary differentiation, Moon formation, terrestrial and Martian surface processes, stable isotope fractionation mechanisms, and clean lab and MC-ICPMS techniques.
