The Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University
October 17, 2013
The Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University works to help train the next generation of scientists to communicate more effectively with the public.
This one-day conference in the DTM Greenewalt building is open to all DTM postdoctoral fellows and will include presentations on the importance of communicating with the public and basic principles of clear communication of scientific material. It will also include improvisational theater games in order to help postdocs gain a better grasp on communicating their research to others more efficiently.
Each participant must submit a short bio themselves and an abstract on their research. This workshop will be held on 17 October 2013 in the Greenewalt building from 9:00pm to 6:30pm.
